Indications

Joint contractures

– After surgery
– After conservative treatment of capsular ligament injuries
– Before and after joint replacement
– In arthrosis and chronic polyarthritis
– After injury
– After burns
– After strokes
– After cranio-cerebral injury
– Paralysis (diecrete palsy of peripheral origin)
– After cranio-cerebral trauma (CCT)

To prevent new contractures (especially following multi-joint surgery)
Treatment after biceps tendon rupture
Spasticity following lesions of the central nervous system
Muscle dystrophy

Features

Fast disconnection and reconnection of the elements by Coniungi joints. Those allow the combination elbow-wrist orthosis to be converted immediately into a hand-wrist or an elbow orthosis
Variable length between pivotal points
Individual adjustment of the spring tension
Spring tension can be switched on and off without tools and without varying the set spring tension
Infinitely variable adjustment of the redression range between -15° and +30°
Individual adjustment of shells in position and shape
High wearing comfort due to air-permeable, light-weight aluminium shells

Mode of operation

The CDS^® Paediatric Combination Elbow / Wrist Brace can be used to treat an extension deficit of the elbow and an extension deficit of the wrist.
The dynamic stretch stimulates the healthy growth of the shortened tissue.
