MKS® is a modular spinal orthotic system that provides the clinician with the ultimate in versatility and adjustability. As patients present in all shapes and sizes, standard sizing options often do not work. The MKS® system offers interchangeable parts that allow virtually every user to be supplied with a semi-bespoke solution.
The range delivers a comprehensive choice of lumbo-sacral orthoses (LSO's) and thoraco-lumbo-sacral orthoses (TLSO's) that offer incremental levels of stability, from moderate support to complete immobilisation. Once clinicians decide what level of support is required, they can choose between different orthoses covering from L5 to L1, T11, T9 or as high as T3, the highest level covered by TLSO's.
MKS® spinal orthoses look different than the usual 'rucksack' type. That is because they have been engineered to provide the exact amount of support required for every patient application. This ensures that each orthosis has the minimum amount of material, weight and body coverage required to achieve the desired effect, thereby making them as comfortable and discreet as possible and improving patient compliance. Versatile strap positions allow clinicians to decide exactly where corrective forces need to be applied, based on their biomechanical analysis.
Simple clear measurements guide clinicians to identify easily the size required. Semi-bespoke orthoses are then pre-assembled behind the scenes by our team, so clinicians receive unique orthoses offering a truly adaptable, lightweight, high quality solution for the spine, ready to fit.
